Chih-Chia (JJ) Chen, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Physiology at the University of Iowa. His research focuses on physical activity, motor learning, and health promotion across the lifespan, with particular emphasis on inclusive and adapted programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, older adults, and college students. He leads externally funded, community-engaged research, has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, and currently serves as Vice President–Select of the National Consortium for Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities.
